This is a sterling silver pendant depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front and the Baby Jesus with the Virgin Mary on the back.  The front has both a pretty pattern and overall shape in the white enamel contrasting with the silver.  The Sacred Heart of Jesus is enameled with an orange color in a circle on the front.  The rear has both the repeat of the lovely pattern and depicts a different scene, that of the Virgin Mary holding the Baby Jesus.  The back side does not have any enameling but the natural darkening of the silver patena adds contrast and clarity to the picture.  Marked "Sterling" on both the pendant back and the bail, the pendant measures 7/8" long and 9/16" wide.  A 17 1/2" replacement chain, not original to the piece and not silver, is included.
