This is a fantastic orchid made of 14 karat gold filled metal and carved ivory by Wells.  Wells was a company in operation from roughly 1922 through 1977 and this piece dates circa 1960.  The piece is delicately carved with textured petals on both the ivory and the metal gold filled leaves.  The flower's pistil contrasts beautifully with the ivory petal surrounding it, making this a tropical treasure.  The back of the pin has a cartouche that reads "Wells 14 KGF" and the whole pin measures 1 1/4" in diameter.
