This is a beautiful celluloid Art Nouveau hair comb that is made to resemble tortoise shell.  Hair combs such as these were popular in the late 1800's up through the 1920's when bobbed hair made hair combs unnecessary.  This Spanish mantilla styled hair comb is circa 1910 and is in wonderful condition with it's high comb of Art Nouveau swirls rising above five prongs. It measures 5" long by 3" wide.
