Galalith Carved Bead Choker Necklace
This funky beaded necklace may look like the 1960's but is really from the 1920's
to 30's when plastic jewelry was still in its infancy. Sometimes known as milk stone, this early form of plastic
known by it's trade name of Galalith was used for making jewelry in Europe and valued for it's ability to be easily
molded. The style of this necklace has been refered to as having a barbaric influence which is easily seen in the bone
colored carved beads in the front. Orange spacer beads add variety to the rest of the barrel shaped beads that alternate
in the bone and orange colors. A threaded chrome clasp closes this 15 1/2" long choker that is strung on string. Whole
