This is a very well designed sterling silver and amber cabochon insect pin.  The insect, an earwig or maybe a scorpion with its pinchers in the front, is made of sterling silver.  The body is a Baltic amber cabochon that measures 15mm or 5/8" in diameter.  It is marked "925" on the pin stem designating it as sterling silver and measures 1 5/8" long.
