Mexican Silver Bracelet
Great piece from the 1940s, this bracelet has six open silver plaques of silver, each holding
an oval green cabachon of Mexican jade set in a collet setting with twisted silver rope around the base. The fold-over
V-clasp is marked with a stamp "Made in Mexico - Sterling", a mark used before the Mexican Eagle system was established
in 1948. Writen in English, this piece was likely made for export to the United States. Each plaque has a lovely
rounded engraved design suggestive of the Aztec motifs popular at the time. The plaques measure 1 1/4" long by
1" wide. The entire bracelet is 7 3/4" long not including the clasp. It is in excellent condition.
