Trifari Alfred Philippe Angelfish Fur Clip Brooch
This is a spectacular jewelry collector's treasure from the 1940s, a fur clip designed
by Alfred Philippe for Trifari. Marked with the crown Trifari mark and Design Patent No. 125822, this gorgeous swimming
angelfish was patented on March 11, 1941. The metals are a rose gold that is worn in most places except for the back
and rhodium plated metal. The detail is wonderful with graceful fins encrusted with clear rhinestones and pave rhinestone
body. He has a large faceted clear blue crystal stone body and a blue cabochon eye. This is a book piece found in "Fun
Jewelry" by Nancy Schiffer, pg. 18. Measures 2 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" wide.
