Necklaces - Deco Clear Rhinestone Silver Festoon Negligee - SOLD!
Stunning clear emerald cut rhinestones are set in sterling silver in a festoon negligee style.
A single strand of prong set stones drapes in the front into two festoon loops that end in two uneven ends called a negligee.
The clear rhinestones, with no backing, give this necklace a beautiful vintage look. The stones are very sparkly and
look very much like crystal, although they are cut glass rhinestones. They even display prisms when held in the sunlight.
The spring ring clasp is marked "Sterling" and the open backed stone settings are each engraved with a swirling
pattern on the back. Each stone is 6mm square with two larger stones on the dangling negligee front. Circa 1930,
this would make a fantastic necklace for the bride or your formal occasion. Measures 16" long with an
additional 2 1/8" for the longer drop.
