Forbidden Fruit carrot pin is part of the Forbidden Fruit series of rhinestone studded lucite fruit.  This wonderful piece features two carrots topped with gold tone green enameled foliage.  The lucite is a pale orange color and the rhinestones have a great sparkle to them.  The camera does not capture the fire that this rhinestone pin emits.  I suspect that by setting the rhinestones in the lucite must preserve them as they are exceptionally bright.  Dating to approximately the late 50s to early 60s, they measure 2 1/4” tall by 1” wide, they are a great piece of rare and wonderful collectible costume jewelry.
